Founders Plaza Walkway

Project Description: This project involves the reconstruction of pavement and landscape elements along the Academic Spine of the University at Buffalo North Campus.

The purpose of this project is to replace badly deteriorated pedestrian pavements and to create a cohesive and continuous landscape open plan that unifies the Campus in a design that is efficient, comfortable, and beautiful.

The project area encompasses the majority of the east-west Academic Spine. Beginning with the at-grade connector between the Cooke Hall/Hochstetter Hall and the Natural Science Complexes, the study area extends along the West Promenade, through Founders Square, and on through the East Promenade to terminate at Putnam Way. The scope also includes the Play Yard Triangle between Lockwood Hall and Baldy Hall, the Flint entrance loop, and the lawns and walkways along Hochstetter's east and north sides.
