NAMESAKE
Julian Park (1885-1965) was the first dean of Arts and Sciences (1919-54) and served as the university's first historian. Park is the son of Dr. Roswell Park, who lends his name to the Roswell Park Institute, an internationally known cancer research facility located in downtown Buffalo.
