Transporting Radioactive Materials

Refer to the Radioactive Materials Safety Manual (pdf) for information about transferring radioactive material between labs. Federal regulations require that only authorized hazardous material (hazmat) workers are allowed to transport radioactive material using motorized vehicles. Contact EH&S Radiation Safety at 829-3281 to arrange for shipping radioactive material anytime the material is not hand carried such as between campuses or to other licensees.
