Storm Water

Stormwater Management Program

UB must develop, implement, and enforce a stormwater management program (SWMP) designed to reduce the discharge of pollutants from to the maximum extent practicable to protect water quality and to satisfy the appropriate water quality requirements of the Environmental Conservation Law and the Clean Water Act.

As part of this program, the following documents are posted here:

  • SPDES Permit (pdf): Issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), this is the Notice of Intent for coverage under an State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) general permit for storm water discharges from small municipal separate storm sewer systems.
  • Annual Report: Required by the NYS DEC, this report summarizes progress made on the six minimum control measures required by the stormwater management program.
  • Best Managment Practicies (coming soon): How to manage a variety of common activities that would affect the stormwater management program.
