Chemical Safety

EH&S can assist you in developing and implementing your federally mandated Chemical Hygiene Plan and inspect your fume hoods to assure they are operating correctly. Please note that hazardous chemical waste must be disposed of in a safe and legal manner. Using information that you provide on the Chemical Waste Disposal Form, EH&S will pick up your waste at your laboratory, office, or other point of origin, characterize it, properly pack it and arrange for disposal in the most economical and environmental sound manner possible, consistent with current regulatory guidelines.
