Extension Cord Use - Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Hot Work Permit - Required for all work involving the use of an open flame, electric arc equipment and/or plasma cutters.
Fireworks Permit - Permit to allow the public display of fireworks in accordance with the provisions of Article 405 of the Penal Law of the State of New York and Section 3308 of the Fire Code of New York State, 19 NYCRR. and as referenced the New York Penal Law Article 405.
Torchiere Style Lamps with High Temperature Light Source Policy - Torchiere style lamps are not permitted for use in University at Buffalo facilities as a best practice means of preventing the start of a fire that may threaten life and property.
Corridor Use Policy - Provides guidelines for maintaining clear and unobstructed means of egress for occupants of University at Buffalo building and facilities, and maintain compliance with the Fire Code of New York State.
